Sophie and her aunt & uncle - Debbie & Jez joined us on an unseasonably sunny Monday in early April to spend some recording time that Debbie & Jez had bought for Sophie as an 18th birthday present. Sophie is currently reading German at Oxford but has many other interests in the sporting and musical spheres. She loves performing, especially in musicals - just played 'Hedy' (the seductive temptress!) in How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying - a production at an Arts festival in Oxford. Sophie claims to have a very wide taste in music from classical and jazz to modern stuff like indie & guitar-based bands. Sophie has already passed Grade 7 Singing with merit but until her journey to Middle C, had not yet sampled the thrills of the recording studio. As expected, she was thoroughly professional in her approach to recording and did amazingly well with her three songs. We have chosen her rendition of the Cat Stevens song, made famous by Rod Stewart - 'First Cut Is The Deepest' - enjoy!
