As much as we love all the pop, rock, swing, blues and soul material that most of our customers like to record, it was really refreshing when we were told that Sian wanted to record two musical theatre tracks for her Recording Experience. She chose 'Somewhere' from West Side Story and the track appearing here - 'Wishing you Were Somehow Here Again' from Phantom Of The Opera.
It was a real pleasure to
record Sian, her classically-trained voice was perfect for the songs
chosen and selecting the right microphone and recording technique was
very important in order to capture the right vocal production. Sian and
her Mum were so pleased with the outcome that we are now looking at the
possibility of recording a whole batch of songs from musicals. Bring it
on! |
