Ray's daughter Carole contacted us in the summer to arrange a session for her father Ray, who had reached a 'landmark' birthday occasion during July. She chatted with us about how he was a fan of some of the great crooners from the 40s and 50s and wondered if we would be able to accommodate his chosen material. So when Ray himself phoned up to redeem his gift, we were happy to oblige with two ballads from Perry Como and the great Nat King Cole. Ray joined us with his wife and daughter and seemed to really enjoy his recording session. As a special twist to the proceedings, he announced that he would like to sing the last verse of his second track in Spanish! - which he pulled off superbly, as you'll hear.
