Phil was desperate to get to the studio as soon as he realised that his birthday gift was one of our 5-star recording sessions. However, as Phil is in the army and travels all over the place, it was a case of waiting until he touched down for long enough to get him in and behind the mic! Luckily, he was based at Colchester for a week doing some training so he blagged a morning off and nipped down the A12 to lay down his chosen tracks.
Being a big R.E.M. fan, he
picked two of their best-loved tracks - 'Everybody Hurts' and 'Losing My
Religeon'. However, Phil's signature song at Karaoke is the
monster soul/rock hit Mustang Sally - from The Committments of course.
So, the choice was made - we had to include the song that his work mates
know him for! |
