Michelle's first project with us was as a Christian songwriter, but since then her songwriting has broadened to a much wider appeal. The great thing about our involvement with her work is that she is happy to give us a virtual blank canvas to start from. She sends us demo versions of the songs in advance which are live recordings of her playing acoustic guitar and singing. So once she arrives at the studio we have usually worked on arrangements which can be anything from piano, electric guitar, strings and flutes, to cathedral organs, drums or Moog synthesizers! However, the essential thing is to stay true to the spirit of the songs, and to capture Michelle's wonderful pure singing and her clear and emotive acoustic guitar playing. We have just completed work on her third album and she plans to return soon.
