Kelly-Anne arrived at the studio with her parents and ready to record as a gift for her 18th birthday. After we had settled the guests in and chatted about some of the studio kit we gave Kelly a brief introduction to microphone techniques and how to handle the recording. However, within a minute or so of the warm-up session, it was clear that she needed very little help at all! She had chosen the great pop-rock song 'Who Knew' from Pink and attacked the very first take with real enthusiasm. Possessing a really powerful and controlled voice, Kelly only needed three takes and we chose take 2 as the one to bag for the mastering. But rather than us waffling on, read about Kelly in her own words...
"The Performing Arts have
always appealed to me from a young age and I continue to leap at every
opportunity to showcase my talents and passions. I have been dancing
since the age of three and have a keen interest in drama which I shall
be studying further when I leave for university this month, hoping to
gain skills and experience that will prepare me for professional
training. Music however has always been at the forefront and having
performed on numerous occasions at Shenfield High School, there is
nothing I find more exhilarating than belting out a strong pop/rock song
on stage, delivering a performance and feeding off of the audience’s
adrenaline.
