Jo's visit to Middle C was to redeem a special 'landmark' birthday present bought for her by her parents. After many telephone conversations and emails, we finally managed to get her booked ion almost a year to the days after said birthday! Dad Terry had spoken to us on the phone and mentioned that Jo was head of drama of the school she works at and is also an accomplished pianist - so our appetites were suitable whetted at the prospect of working with Jo and perhaps capturing some of her piano playing as well as singing. Jo chose some lovely songs from musical theatre productions over the years - some of them big, rousing performances, and some softer and more understated. Although not taken from a musical, it's the latter style that we have chosen to include here. So relax enjoy listening to Jo's great piano playing and voice on this recording of 'The Nearness of You'.
