Donna's father Les bought a recording experience for Donna as a Christmas present and once she had received the gift, Donna was eager to get in the studio as soon as possible. The two of them and Donna's friend arrived and once the session started, Donna's professionalism really amazed us because she was managing to nail her chosen songs mostly in two takes. This particular song, originally recorded by Bette Midler for the film 'Beaches' is never an easy song to cover and in Donna's case, this was made even more difficult because the inspiration to record it had personal significance. We think you will find this an awesome version of the song, probably even more so when you realise that Donna is only 14 years of age. Her Dad was incredibly proud of Donna's recording day - quite rightly so! and we discussed the possibility of Donna returning some day, possibly for a whole day session.
