Having previously released the self-financed CD 'Out There' and the earlier 'A Different Dimension', they are currently working on pre-production for their long-awaited follow up album. Word on the street is that we are likely to see a release date early in 2005. As a contrast to the proggy material of Exhibit A, Dave's own musical tastes are wide and far reaching. He highlights Robbie Williams as one of the best modern recording and performing artists and the staple ballad 'Angels' was top of the short list for him to cover. We recorded Angels over a period of about a month. It provided us with a huge challenge in as much as there were just SO many parts to the arrangement. It is one of those songs that is deceptively simple. Listen to it on the radio and it's the powerful chorus that lodges itself in your brain and refuses to leave! But when we analysed the song in the studio we discovered no less than lead vocal, 5-part backing vocal, grand piano, bass, drums, orchestral string section, French horn, harp(!), acoustic guitar, electric rhythm guitar, and 2 slide guitar parts.... When Dave came to the studio we had only the bare minimum of backing arrangement. Dave put in a superb solid vocal take, laying down his very capable response to Mr Williams himself! Over the next 3 weeks we gradually built up the backing and then mixed and mastered the song for your listening delight.
