Claire Hughes was delighted when she opened her 5-Star Recording Studio Gift Experience presented to her by husband Pete on Christmas Day and couldn't wait to get booked into the studio for some recording. However, word spread from the Hughes' household and Pete & Claire's friends Chad, Carole and Ella decided that they too would like some of the same! So after a few phone calls with Pete and Chad, we decided to combine the two experiences into one full day's recording. The singers all handled their recordings like true pros - Claire was first up with 'Ain't No Sunshine', then Ella with some classic Pink pop-rock, Chad with a cracking Elvis track, and Claire for song 2 (First Cut Is The Deepest). The one we have chosen here is a duet sung by Claire and Ella - 'See The Day'. Both girls used the strengths of their voices to handle different parts of the song and we think it works a treat! While a little mixing and mastering work was done, the party managed to get down to the inn on the village green for a pub lunch and then returned suitably refreshed to round off the session. A great time was had by all and the Hughes & Sofis were really great company, providing constant laughs as we all quoted various X-factor clichés (you all "really owned your songs" guys!) The icing on the cake is that Claire & Pete have now secured us another booking with Claire's dad and brother, who will be journeying forth from Kent to join us very soon - Thanks for that!
